A vet’s perspective

Dr. Gary Marty has such an excellent way of explaining how viruses and diseases work, I figured it was worth setting up a permanent page with his reactions to the film. You can read his perspective here.

I find it disturbing that there is no information about the author of this blog.

The Author fails to identify himself, indicates that he is biased, by being a salmon farmer himself, and does not have a hint of the qualifications that Alexandra Morton has. He resorts to petty personal attacks, which show he does not have any real basis for his argument. The biggest question is unanswered: What does Alexandra Morton have to gain by producing this film? Why would she make it all up? It’s inconceivably ridiculous. The author of this blog, however, has much to gain by trying (feebly) to convince us Alexandra is lying. What a complete bag of horseshit.

      1) Because she truly believes what she is saying (many people believe things that are wrong, and do crazy things to support their beliefs, like fly planes into buildings).

      2) Because she uses stuff like this to rally people into giving her donations (no tax receipt though!) just like church preachers get people all fired up with religious bullshit and then pass the collection plate.

Seems like you’ve gone to a lot of effort to disprove a film. How much effort do you put into preserving wild salmon? What do the filmmakers gain by bringing awareness to wild salmon? What do you gai… nevermind, you’re a salmon farmer.
